Ambassador Dushimimana Attends Conference of Non-Resident Ambassadors Accredited to Estonia
Ambassador Lambert Dushimimana attended the conference Estonia Information Days for non-resident ambassadors accredited to Estonia, held on 11 and 12 June 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tallinn.
The programme provided ambassadors with an overview of key developments in Estonia’s domestic and foreign policy, as well as the country’s priorities in regional and international affairs. During the meeting, Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna underlined Estonia’s strong commitment to the UN Charter, international law and the rules-based international order.
Discussions focused on the European security situation, continued support for Ukraine, efforts to increase pressure on Russia, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defence capabilities, and countering disinformation campaigns. The Foreign Minister also briefed ambassadors on the recent meeting in Estonia between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of the Nordic-Baltic countries.
The programme further included presentations by Jonatan Vseviov, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Minna-Liina Lind, Undersecretary for Global Affairs. Ambassadors were also scheduled to be received by President Alar Karis and Prime Minister Kristen Michal.
The conference offered an important opportunity to strengthen dialogue with Estonia and exchange views on shared international priorities.
