RWANDA’S MINISTER OF DEFENCE MEETS WITH HIS COUNTERPART FROM THE NETHERLANDS

On the sidelines of the first global Summit on Responsible Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain (REAIM) that was convened in The Hague on 15 & 16 February 2023, Rwanda’s Minister of Defence Major General Albert Murasira met with his Counterpart, the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Netherlands, Hon. Kajsa Ollongren. They discussed ways to enhance the existing defence cooperation between the two countries.

The government of the Netherlands hosted the Summit on Responsible Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain, REAIM 2023. The summit provided a platform for all stakeholders to discuss the key opportunities, challenges and risks associated with military applications of AI. Participants included foreign ministers and other government delegates, as well as representatives from knowledge institutions, think tanks, industry and civil society organisations.
