Rwanda and Latvia Explore New Avenues for Trade and Investment Cooperation
On 31 October 2025, at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ambassador Dushimimana met with Ms. Natalija Juskova, Deputy Director for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia; Ms. Vita Stankevica, Representative of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the Republic of Namibia; Ms. Dzekija Eilande, Senior Desk Officer in the Economic Relations Division of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Mãris Krauzethe, Deputy Head of the Middle East and Africa Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
The meeting aimed to initiate formal cooperation between Rwanda and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, explore opportunities for bilateral trade and investment, and establish a framework for collaboration between the Rwanda Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Latvian counterpart. It also provided an opportunity to introduce Rwanda’s investment landscape to the Latvian business community and to discuss Latvia’s participation in the Business Forum to be held in Rwanda in March 2026.
