Presentation Letters of Credence to Estonia

On 3 March 2026, Ambassador Lambert Dushimimana formally presented his letters of credence to President Alar Karis, officially assuming his role as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Rwanda to Estonia.

After the credential ceremony, President Karis and Ambassador Dushimimana held discussions centered on enhancing both bilateral and multilateral ties, with particular attention to trade and investment.

Other highlights of the visit to Estonia:

H.E. Ambassador Dushimimana, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, presented copies of the Letters of Credence to Mr. Urmas Eigla, Chief of State Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.

Ambassador Dushimimana held a courtesy meeting with Mrs Kristi Karelsohn, Director General for Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East and Africa Department, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Rwanda.

The Ambassador paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Mait Palts, Director General of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their discussion focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including facilitating closer contacts between the Chambers of Commerce of Rwanda and Estonia.

The Ambassador also held an engaging meeting with Rwandan students residing in Estonia.
