First Rwandan youth event in the Netherlands

On the 8th of June 2024, Rwandan youth (mostly students and young professionals) gathered in the garden of the Ambassador's residence in Wassenaar.

They began by embracing and upholding their Rwandan identity, sharing stories and traditions. The youth was told about Rwanda's history and the role of the youth in building Rwanda. They were also encouraged to safeguard Rwandan values wherever they are and stay connected to the country of their forefathers. They were encouraged to actively put their skills and knowledge to Rwanda's development journey.

Afternoon sessions focused on driving positive change, with dynamic discussions on community projects and leadership. as well as games aimed at challenging the youth to navigate through the challenges they face without being held back by them.

United by their heritage and inspired for the future, the youth departed with strengthened bonds and a renewed commitment to their diaspora community.
