Celebration International Women's Day

Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe opened the virtual #conference on March 13th to celebrate International Women's Day in the Netherlands and indicated, among other things, that women's rights are equal to human rights.

Christella Mukamana is a member of the Rwandan community in the Netherlands and as a health care worker she was on the front line to fight Covid-19. She talked about her experiences and how she experienced this as a Rwandan woman in the Netherlands.

Marina Diboma from Netherlands - African Business Council was also one of the speakers and she talked about the challenges related to corona in the past year. Most of the NABC management in The Hague consists of women.

From Rwanda, Jackline Kamanzi from Rwanda's National Women's Council talked about the impact of Covid-19 in #Rwanda and in particular about female leadership in tackling Covid-19 and the role of women in decision-making processes.

The entire session was expertly supervised this afternoon by Sandra Uwase, member of the Rwandan community in the Netherlands!
